Responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful project delivery and maximization of margins through the delivery of contracts in a safe manner, on time, within budget and to the agreed levels of quality
  • Chair project start-up meetings within two weeks of receipt of order
  • Chair close-out meeting after final completion certificate issued by client

Contract

  • Ensuring that contracts are executed in accordance with the requirements of:
  • The terms and conditions of the contract
  • The contract health, safety and environmental plan
  • The contract quality plant and as per the client’s specifications
  • Companies policies and procedures

Responsible for managing the following people:

  • Foremen and site staff
  • Monthly Programme and Cost Forecast – present current and forecast at the end of the month
  • Daily Labour Costing – random checks to see if these are done on a daily basis
  • Daily Plant Costing – random checks to see if done on a daily basis
  • Monthly Reconciliations – Ensure that recons are done at month-end
  • Procurement – approve purchase orders

Sub-Contractors

  • Sign contract/order before any work commence
  • Ensure weekly progress meetings to discuss progress, safety, quality etc.
  • Sign weekly/monthly certificates

Change Management

  • Ensure notification of claims within dates as per contract requirement
  • Diary – random checks to ensure completed correctly, submitted and signed off by the client daily

Safety

  • Ensure monthly site safety meetings held
  • Conduct monthly Visible Felt Leadership

Quality

  • Conduct random quality checks on site filing system kept up to date by site engineers – as a minimum once a month each project
  • Ensure monthly site quality meetings held
  • Random checks

Industrial Relations

  • Ensure monthly site labour representative meetings held
  • Ensure labour representatives elected and appointed for each team

Human Relations

  • Sign off monthly travel claims
  • Monthly, brief all site staff on developments/news in Company

Cost Reporting

  • Scrutinise monthly cost reports before presented

General

The CFO is responsible for Managerial & Financial Accounting as well as Financial Reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

The scope of responsibilities of the Finance Manager covers Accounting & Finance; overseeing administration, improving systems and developing staff skills to ensure data quality in Finance.

Outline of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform operational planning to ensure that reports are done on time by all the staff;
  • Reconciliation of Operational & Financial systems results through various reconciliation methods;
  • Ensure accuracy of accounting including classification, completeness and valuation in the financial ERP system by continuous review and testing of controls;
  • Monitor finance data quality through reconciliation, auditing, variance analysis, etc;
  • Ensure optimal level of Accounting staff with maximum output through Performance Evaluation and staff planning;
  • Manage Cash Control on daily basis through review of the operational reporting as well as cash spot checks;
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts reports, Monthly Payroll reports & liaise on IVA statements with the Accounts Manager through various systems and end-user accounting & reporting;
  • Supervise Intercompany Month-End Balances and ensure that balances with other Group companies through communication & reconciliation with all related parties;
  • Providing Information in any financial data requested by management as quick as possible through daily planning;
  • Ensuring key daily and weekly reporting such as Cash-Flow Projection, Age Analysis, Bank Reconciliation, etc. are done on timely basis through managing, delegating, prioritizing finance department schedules;
  • Coordinate with External Auditors by providing all requested information for the final Audit Reports;
