The ideal candidates will possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree and be Chartered with at least five (5) years of HVAC design experience (with labs/cleanrooms and/or industrial projects) and should be self-motivated with the desire to grow their career with a leading MEP firm.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mechanical/HVAC system design in a project engineering role
  • Development of system concepts, calculations, system sizing and selection, specifications, and technical reports
  • Client and project team communications and coordination
  • Services during construction
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to design budgets
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Coordinate all disciplines

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least five (5) years of applicable experience in the consulting engineering field including developing plans and specifications
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping design
  • Prior experience with cleanrooms, laboratory, and/or industrial ventilation systems design projects
  • Ability to accurately estimate and forecast design effort and coordinate with project team across disciplines
  • Proficiency in the operation of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with clients and staff
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal direction

Job Purpose
To inspect critical Civil/Architectural/Structural processes or activities to ensure conformance to requirements against specifications as per project plan. Maintaining, designing and controlling quality strategies and quality management systems. Ensure maximum quality enhancement of a project.

KPI’s – To be agreed with Line Manager

Main Job Accountabilities & Expectations
To work on site monitoring quality and completing inspections
To review all materials received on the site, inspecting them, ensuring they are of the highest quality.To check works against approved drawings
To report non compliances to the management team ensuring they are closed out and reported
To support the engineers in performing specialist QA QC techniques on CIVIL/Architectural/Structural installations and processes
To log all inspections and findings, preparing a daily report for the Project Manager
To report deviations from approved plans and specifications
To maintain the QA QC paperwork – test papers, files, reports and certificates

To conduct testing within the required specification or ITP
Where possible identifying defect trends and implementing plans for rectification
To attend and participate in QA QC meetings Required Skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of report writing
Good problem solving ability ? Utilize conflict management and negotiation skills Core
